The studio behind racing games like DiRT 2 and GRiD is dusting off the Formula One experience by introducing F1 2010. The game, which Codemasters says is the official game of the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship, will be released this September on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
F1 2010 will include all the official teams of the World Championship, drivers and circuits from the forthcoming racing season. The game will feature all-star champion Michael Schumacher, along with several new teams and the new Korean International Circuit – which will host the 2010 Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix.
Codemasters released F1 2009 for the PSP and Wii last year, which the company says was a top five best seller throughout the past holiday season. F1 2010 marks the first HD Formula One racing game from Codemasters. Look for F1 2010 to feature advanced damage model, dynamic weather, and an extensive competitive multiplayer component.
The game is being developed by Codemasters Studios Birmingham, using the EGO Game Technology Platform – the same technology that powered DiRT 2 and GRiD.
