The lead character designer for Firewalk Studios‘ soon-to-be-launched Concord has said that the development team are keen to push the game for many years.
Speaking during an interview with PCGamer, John Weisnewski revealed that the team are ‘insanely proud’ of the game, which he claims has been in development for as much as eight years.
Obviously, it’s a group effort, and having a seat at the table with others who inspire you and push you to do your best is a tremendous privilege. That trust gave the game so much identity. Concord has so much humanity and depth to it. I really hope people give it a shot. Insanely proud of the game, we’re strapped in and ready to push it for years to come.

Concord is launching tomorrow for PS5 and PC following an extensive beta period, and earlier this month Firewalk Studios confirmed its plans for Season 1 & 2 of the game, which includes new Freegunners, maps and cosmetic rewards. As a result of these seasonal content drops, Concord will not have a Battle and Pass and players will be able to enjoy new content ‘at no additional cost.’
