Creative Assembly Is Working On Another Action Game, Which Makes Four On-Going Projects We Know Of

Creative Assembly had three on-going projects that we knew about; Hyenas, supporting Total War, and one unannounced title. Today however, the studio announced it has another new action game in the works, which makes four on-going projects that we know of.

Hyenas was the first brand new IP announced from Creative Assembly in over a decade, and now to know that we can expect two more original games from the studio is very exciting.

It’s a huge sign of how the studio has grown over the years, and it’s great to see from the studio that brought us Alien: Isolation.

Creative Assembly hasn’t mentioned any other details about this new action game, though it implies that this new game is one of its bigger projects, with the expectation that it’ll grow into a franchise.

An “action project that will establish a new franchise as part of their growing portfolio.” is what it called the game in a statement today.

The statement also seems to imply that it’ll be a new IP, as a “new franchise” and all, but whatever it is we won’t find out for a while.

“It will be a significant wait before further details are revealed” it said, which doesn’t sound like we’ll hear anything this year. Best to look to the 2023 version of the industry’s big annual events.

Interesting to note, this game will be coming from Creative Assembly’s most recently established studio, CA Sofia, located in Bulgaria. Established in 2017, it’s Creative Assembly’s “new purpose-built state-of-the-art development studio.”
