1999’s Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S, although a release date has not been announced yet.
Developed by Argonaut Software, Croc 2 was originally released for the PlayStation in August 1999 and arrived on PC the following year. The game is set a few months after the original Croc, and sees our hero navigating open-ended stages while completing missions, with stages split across four Gobbo villages that are accessed through an open hub world. As with the original game, Croc 2 is packed with collectibles including crystals and multicolored crystals, while players can also mix things up during levels with the addition of a go-kart, speedboat, hang glider and more.
Croc 2 was also in development for the Dreamcast at one stage before it was cancelled due to the declining performance of Sega’s last home console. Croc: Legend of the Gobbos was remastered last year for modern platforms and you can read our full review here.
