A series of job ads have fuelled speculation that Guerrilla Games and Crytek are in the process of gearing up for work on the next-generation of consoles.
As spotted by Develop, a “Netherlands-based” studio – thought to be Killzone developer Guerrilla Games – is “working exclusively with an industry leader on next gen technologies.”
Guerrilla is known to be working on three projects at present, namely Killzone for PlayStation Vita, a perpetuation of the sci-fi shooter series for PS3 – which could be DLC or a full-fledged sequel – and a fresh IP.
Elsewhere, a “Frankfurt studio” is on the lookout for a senior level designer for a “next gen AAA title.” Smart money says this is none other than Crysis developer Crytek.
Rumors have previously suggested Crytek is beavering away on a fourth entry in the TimeSplitters series for next-gen consoles, and is currently working on Homefront 2 and Ryse.
