Speaking to CVG, Crytek boss Cervat Yerli has revealed that his studio would "love to work" with Sony on a PlayStation 3 exclusive, despite the company siding with Microsoft recently for the Xbox 360-only release of Codename: Kingdoms.
In the interview, the Crysis developer re-iterated that it is an independant studio and can therefore choose who it works with.
"Sony is a partner that we would definitely love to work with. A [PS3 exclusive] is something we considered before – we talked about it a lot, but for reasons of portfolio or timing in the past it didn’t work out. But that doesn’t mean in the future it wouldn’t work, " said Yerli.
"Sony is a great company, so is Nintendo and so is Microsoft. All of them have their strengths and weaknesses, and luckily our strengths are almost always complementary to their weaknesses," he added.
Though we’re missing out on Kingdoms this time around, we’d be stoked to see a exclusive on PS3 from Crytek. Get on that phone Sony!
