Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial tech demo announced for Project Morpheus

A new tech demo for Sony’s Project Morpheus virtual reality headset titled “Cyber Danganronpa VR: Class Trial” was announced by Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong at the Ani-Com (Animation-Comic) & Games Hong Kong 2015 fair today.

Cyber Danganronpa is developed by Spike Chunsoft, the original developers of the fantastic Danganronpa visual novel games, and recreates the Phoenix Wright-inspired class trial portion of the franchise in VR.

In the main games, high school students are trapped by a sadistic robot bear named Monokuma, who tempts them to murder one another. When a killing occurs, the surviving classmates meet for a class trial to determine the culprit. If the killer is found innocent, he or she is let free while everyone is executed. If the killer is found guilty, only he or she is executed.

A spin-off titled Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will launch for the PlayStation Vita on September 1 in North America and September 4 in Europe. Check out our reviews of the original Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
