A detailed Cyberpunk 2077 frame rate test for PS4 and PS4 Pro has revealed just how rough the game is in when you play on those two systems.
In a new video, Digital Foundry discovered that Cyberpunk 2077 clocks in at a dynamic 900p, and more than often that i’ll drop to 720p. As for the frame rate, things are just as disappointing. The game usually runs at 30 FPS during in-door segments, but things can go as low as 10 FPS when the action kicks in.

Driving around Night City can see the frame rate drop to sub-20 FPS, and the population count has been greatly reduced. Loading assets becomes a problem, as the game stutters considerably during this process.
Meanwhile, on PS4 Pro the resolution can reach as high as 1188p, but you’ll frequently see drops to around 972p when a lot is going on. Sadly, the frame rate isn’t much better, as Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 Pro usually clocks in at 20 FPS while exploring the city, although it does slightly better when it comes to assets loading in.
Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PS4 and will release for PS5 in 2021.
