CD Projekt RED announced during its latest Night City Wire event yesterday that Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 will launch on September 21, 2023.
Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0 offers a complete overhaul of the game’s mechanics, introducing key features including car chases, vehicular combat, a revamped police system, and much more. The best part is these additions are completely free. Meanwhile, CDPR will launch Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty on September 26, which is the game’s first and only expansion that brings new missions and a brand new area of Night City to explore.
Originally released in December 2020 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, Cyberpunk 2077 got off to a rocky start on consoles due to its poor performance and various bugs. CDPR spent the best part of 18 months patching the game to improve things, although it wasn’t until the native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 that it really started to shine.
