Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Coming Dec. 5 With ‘Hotly Anticipated Gameplay Elements’

CD Projekt RED has revealed on Twitter that it will release Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.1 on December 5, 2023, the same day as the Ultimate Edition arrives on the scene. According to the tweet, this update will introduce ‘new and hotly anticipated gameplay elements.’

Right now the studio isn’t saying anything else about Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.1, but will provide more details on December 1 during Twitch stream featuring a number of key figures including the game’s producer (Monika Janowska) and quest director (Pawel Sasko).

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is set to launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and includes the full base game as well as Phantom Liberty expansion. However, if you’re picking up the physical copy on PS5, you will have to download the DLC separately as it’s not on the disc.

CDPR announced back in October that Cyberpunk 2077 had sold 25 million copies worldwide, although the game hasn’t had an easy ride. The sci-fi epic launched in December 2020, and on PS4 and Xbox One the game was heavily marred by various performance issues and bugs.

The developer spent about $125 million fixing the game and developing Phantom Liberty, and the native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions that arrived in February last year finally put the game on track for console users.
