Danger Close confirms new Medal of Honor title

Danger Close has announced it’s busy chiselling away on a fresh instalment in the Medal of Honor franchise.

News comes via a post on the series’ official blog teasingly titled “In case you were wondering…” before confirming, “Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor.”

“Since our launch last October, we’ve studied, listened and absorbed much of your feedback and are very excited to be marching forward on the next title. We can’t wait to tell you more about it, so check back often to the website and the fan page on Facebook,” wrote producer Greg Goodrich.

“It’s going to be a fun ride for the Medal of Honor franchise. We are happy to have you aboard.”

Danger Close took the venerable series back to the drawing board last year, with 2010’s Medal of Honor making the jump from the battlefields of World War II to a more contemporary setting based in modern day Afghanistan.

The news follows previous rumblings of a sequel after the company confirmed via a job listing that it was hiring for an “unannounced AAA first-person shooter title.” Furthermore, EA bigwig John Riccitiello hinted at a follow-up late last year after labelling the 2010 eponymous reboot a “clear success.”
