Covenant.dev and Team17 have announced that Gord will also be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in addition to the previously announced PC version, with the game due out in Summer 2023.
Gord sees players leading the Tribe of the Dawn as they cross into the forbidden lands, with their survival placed firmly in your hands as you traverse a dark fantasy realm inspired by Slavic folklore. Along the way, you’ll solve quests that will shape the personality of your people, impact their wellbeing, and decide the fate of your community.
When you’re not tucked inside your settlement, Gord invites you to venture outside and take part in the AI-driven quest system, which offers a huge variety of challenges to face. Random encounters and side quests will see you hunting down legendary creatures in the wilderness, unearthing lost secrets about the Ancients, and eliminating a pesky scourge alongside many other activities.
A healthy populace is the key to survival in Gord. Every aspect of your settlers’ lives—from illness and hunger to the death of their kin—can impact each subject’s Sanity and Burden levels. Keep a close eye on them, as once they reach a critical point your subject will suffer from a breakdown or even flee your rule.
Gord is pencilled in for a Summer 2023 release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
