It looks as if Nordic Games’ Darksiders II may be joining the long list of games that have gotten next-generation remasters – that is if a recent Amazon product listing is any indication.
Appearing on the retailing giant’s website, with the tentative placeholder of December 31, ‘Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition’ would presumably be a 1080p/60fps upgrade with other additions and tweaks. And while there’s no product detail on the page itself, one could presume that given premature retail listings in the past, there’s a half-decent chance that this is actually happening.
Interestingly, Nordic Games – who recently acquired a number of trademarks from THQ – also added more listings on Amazon, from the likes of MX vs. ATV: Supercross Encore Edition on PS4 to Legend of Kay HD, too. Seems as though the developer’s looking to make big-time moves in 2015, that’s for sure.
Originally released back in August of 2012, the game was met with critical praise upon its launch, and scored a from 9/10 from us in the process. And if this remaster is an attempt to identify interest in a potential sequel in the series, then count us in.
