Darksiders II will be released in the U.S. on June 26, publisher THQ announced today.
The sequel, due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, arrives in the U.K. on June 29.
Furthermore, THQ also confirmed that punters who decide to pre-order the game will receive a boatload of bonus goodies, as detailed below.
GameStop/GAME/Gamestation – Death Riders pack, featuring exclusive side quests that add an estimated two hours worth of new content. Here, you’ll be able to obtain extra experience and loot.
Amazon/Amazon UK – Deadly Despair pack, offering a speed boost to Death’s trusty steed Despair, which lasts throughout the entirety of the game.
Best Buy – Angel of Death pack, offering a unique set of enhanced armour, featuring an angel inspired design plus a pair of upgraded matching scythes.
Darksiders II takes place parallel to the events of the original game, though this time around gamers will be taking the reins of Horseman Death. No multiplayer will be present, developer Vigil Games is packing in a substantial campaign, featuring multiple dungeons, city hubs and side quests.
