Voice actor David Hayter has suggested that fans petition Sony Pictures if they are eager to see him pen a possible film adaptation of Konami’s popular Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Hayter, who voices Solid Snake in the stealth-action series, told IMDB forums: “As for me writing the MGS movie, tell everyone on-line to write to Matt Tolmach at Sony Pictures studios in Culver City. If enough people do this, we may be back on board.”
Aside from voice acting, Hayter is also an accomplished writer, having wrote the screenplay for the X-Men movie in 2000, as well as serving as co-writer for the sequel, X2, alongside Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.
Hayter previously expressed his desire to see the MGS movie adapted into an animated or CGI film, in the hope that he would be able to provide the voice for Snake as well as penning the screenplay under supervision of Hideo Kojima.
Stay tuned.
