God of War mastermind David Jaffe has today confirmed that his latest PS4-exclusive title, ‘Drawn to Death’, will in-fact embrace a free-to-play model – but not before offering clarification on what that entailed exactly.
Speaking on Twitter, Jaffe was quick to allay concerns about the contentious free-to-play model, however, by saying that Drawn to Death has been built from the ground up by developers who aren’t exactly big fans of the traditional model, with the focus instead now being on accessibility and the championed aspects of free-to-play, rather than anything like pay-to-win.

What’s more, Jaffe expressed keen interest in the continual service-based system of free-to-play, being able to stay engaged with an ever-expanding user base, and adjusting aspects of the game as it develops through its community.
Announced at PlayStation Experience in December of last year, Drawn to Death is a frenetic four-player arena shooter that takes place inside a teenager’s sketch pad. Players choose between an array of sketched characters before dropping into one of the pages within the notebook and doing battle therein.
The game’s set to release sometime this year, and as ever PSU will keep you up-to-date with any developments.
