Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in early development

At the Dead or Alive Festival in Tokyo today, Team Ninja announced they have just begun development on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3.

Studio head Yosuke Hayashi described it as “a game where Dead or Alive characters go to a southern beach on vacation.” It will be the third game in the spin-off DOA series, following 2009’s Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 and 2006’s Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.

The official Dead or Alive Facebook page stated DOAX3 “will be made exclusively for Japan and Asian market,” alluding to no plans for Western localization.

No word on the game’s platform(s) or any other details are available but Team Ninja did reassure fans additional info will be unveiled later on.
