The BBFC has staple-gunned an 18-rating to Visceral Games’ hotly anticipated horror outing Dead Space 2, as well as letting slip that the sequel will pack in nearly one hour’s worth of cut-scenes for our consumption.
To be precise, the survival horror title will feature approximately 59 minutes and 45 seconds of cut-scenes – better stock up on fresh underwear then, as it sounds like we’re in for one hell of a fright fest.
Dead Space 2 will see the return of Isaac Clarke from the original game, as he returns to battle the gruesome Necromorphs as they begin their invasion of a densely populated space station known as the Sprawl.
The sequel will include a multiplayer component, fresh weapons and all-new enemies, plus PlayStation 3 owners will also be treated to a Move-compatible port of Wii shooter Dead Space: Extraction by way of an exclusive Limited Edition pack.
Dead Space 2 is pencilled in for release on January 25, 2011 for PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
