Glen Schofield, the co-creator of the original version of Dead Space back in 2008, has extended his gratitude to EA Motive Studio for its work on the Dead Space Remake, released last week for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.
The Striking Distance Studios developer was responding to a LinkedIn post about Dead Space Remake by his daughter, Nicole, where he had nothing but positive words to say about the project.
To all of you who worked on the original, thank you for your contributions to an amazing game. It has withstood the test of time. And to Motive, thank you for your care in remaking the game faithfully. Congratulations.
Originally developed at EA Redwood Shores, which later became Visceral Games, Dead Space launched in 2008 although its co-creator would later leave to establish Sledgehammer Games. After many years at the Call of Duty studio, Schofield formed Striking Distance Studios, releasing the team’s debut project, The Callisto Protocol, last month.
