Dead Space Remake Dev Interested In ‘Exploring’ The Series More

Dead Space Remake developer EA Motive Studio has revealed that it’s interesting in exploring the franchise more if given the chance.

Speaking during an interview with British GQ, Phil Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola, who serve as senior and creative director on the project, respectively, were quizzed if they had any ideas for the future of the series. In response, Ducharme made it clear that they’re very much interested in sticking with Dead Space.

For sure, it’s, it’s a hope that we have. There’s interest on my side and I think on Roman’s side – you can see his smile – in exploring Dead Space more. There are ideas, that’s for sure.

It’ll be a while before we hear what’s next though, as he noted that “we’re finishing this week, we’re going to be making sure that that launch goes well and that there are as few technical issues as possible. We’re gonna be heading out on vacation and then we’ll sit down and we’ll have those discussions within EA to say, ‘Well, what’s next?.’

The game topped the UK All Format Chart upon release, although its boxed launch sales were less than half of The Callisto Protocol, which was developed by former team members who served on the original Dead Space in 2008.
