Writing on Twitter, developer Arkane has announced that the Deathloop release has been delayed to Q2 2021. The game was originally pencilled in for a late 2020 release, so this delay pushes it back fairly significantly.
Deathloop Release Update
We’ve made the decision to move the launch date Deathloop to Q2 2021. Our ambition for Deathloop is to deliver a signature Arkane game that takes you to never-before-seen places in a stylish new world.
At the same time, health and safety of everyone at Arkane Lyon remains our top priority. As we’ve adjusted to work-from-home, we found that delivering this new and exciting experience, at the polish and quality level that defines both an Arkane game and at true next-gen experience, is taking longer than normal.
This extra time will allow our team to bring Deathloop’s world to life with as much character and fun as you’ve come to expect from our team.
Deathloop is currently in development for the PS5 and PC, and takes the form of an assassination drama that seamlessly blends multiplayer and storytelling antics.
