Demon’s Souls online play given new lease of life

Atlus USA has confirmed it has no intention of bringing the axe down on Demon’s Souls’ online component just yet, with the developer announcing that it’s extended support for the feature for a second time.

The extension means PS3 owners will be able to indulge in the brutally compelling RPG until October 6, 2011 – that’ll be two years to the day since the game came out, in case you didn’t already know.

"We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again," commented Atlus PR and sales manager, Aram Jabbari.

"We will support the online servers for Demon’s Souls as long as we possibly can, and we’ll be as transparent about the entire process as possible, hence us constantly updating folks as to what to expect.”
