Bungie has flicked the reset switch on Destiny’s game world for another week, just ahead of the hotly anticipated 2.2.0 update scheduled to drop later today.
First up is the Nightfall, which takes the form of the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. strike equipped with the modifiers Berserk, Specialist, Ironclad and Airborne. The Court of Oryx Tier 3 boss meanwhile takes the form of Kagoor.
Over at the Prison of Elders, players can now face arenas The Forever Eater and Machine Wrath for Level 32 and Level 34, respectively. Finally, the King’s Fall raid challenge this week pits you against the mighty Golgoroth.
Destiny’s April update is the most significant offering for the shared-world shooter in quite some time. The patch will offer a range of new gear and missions, plus a completely revamped Prison of Elders for gamers to tackle. Oh, and there’s also a PlayStation-exclusive weapon to enjoy.
Looking ahead, Bungie’s ambitious futuristic blaster will benefit from a full-fledged expansion later this year, with Destiny 2 currently in development for a 2017 launch.
Destiny was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in September 2014. Despite a slow start, the game quickly gained support among gamers, with Bungie releasing three expansion to date: The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King.
In recent months, the former Halo developer has been releasing timed-based events to keep its community entertainment. These include Halloween’s Festival of the Lost, the Sparrow Racing League and February’s Crimson Days event.
