Destiny: weekly Nightfall reset for March 1, 2016

Bungie has once again hit the reset button on Destiny’s game world for another week, injecting a fresh round of challenges into its shared-world shooter for Guardians to tackle.

First up is the Nightfall, which this week takes the form of the classic Dust Palace mission with the modifiers Brawler, Grounded, Trickle and Void Burn. The Court of Oryx, meanwhile, places Kagoor as its Tier 3 boss for this week.

Finally, the Prison of Elders has been refreshed to include the arenas Urrox’s Grudge and The Forever Eater at Level 32 and Level 34, respectively, while Golgoroth serves as this week’s challenge for the King’s Fall raid.

Destiny was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 in September 2014. Despite a slow start and criticism targeting the game’s lacklustre storyline, Bungie quickly stepped up its support for the alien shooter with three expansions in the shape of The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King.

In recent months the developer has introduced time-based events to keep gamers entertained, such as the Sparrow Racing League, Festival of the Lost and last month’s Valentine’s Day-themed Crimson Days.

However, publisher Activision confirmed a few weeks back that an expansion will be released for Destiny later this year, with a full-fledged sequel, Destiny 2, arriving at some point in 2017. Further details are being kept under wraps at present.
