Bungie has confirmed that the Iron Banner event for Destiny will be returning to the fold later today.
The event will run until November 24, and you’ll have to make the most of earning that precious gear, as your rank will reset once Iron Banner comes to an end.
This time around however, there’s a few changes thrown into the mix. For starters, you can now obtain level 30 equipment, as armor can now be upgraded to the maximum Light Level.
You’ll also scoop a small reward if you lose a match, while victories will net a larger reward as well as bounties from Lord Saladin. An XP boost gives you a chance to earn gear faster as the event starts to wrap up. You also have to be level 20 or higher to lead a Fireteam in the Iron Banner.
Iron Banner is a PvP event where your defense/attack make a difference in terms of how much punishment you can take and how much damage you deal out, respectively. Its first round was criticized by players for various issues, with many feeling your gear didn’t really affect battle performance.
