Deus Ex: Mankind Divided 17-minute gameplay video and Breach mode revealed

Ahead of E3 2016 next week, Square Enix today presented a Deus Ex: Mankind Divided online stream to reveal more about the hotly anticipated follow-up to Human Revolution.

A new game mode named Breach was unveiled and features a more arcade-style rendition of the gameplay found in Mankind Divided, described as a “connected puzzle shooter experience.” In Breach, you assume the role of a Ripper (hacker) to acquire and sell classified corporate data to upgrade skills and weapons via XP, credits, and booster packs. You’ll be able to compare your performance to friends and other players. New challenges and features will be introduced in updates down the line.

Developer Eidos Montreal also showed off seventeen minutes of gameplay set in the city-hub of Prague. In the demo, Adam Jensen awakes in the slums following an attack allegedly from augmented extremists. Our gruff-voiced hero augmentations finds his augmentations damaged and must seek out a specialist named Vaclav Koller for repairs.
