Deus Ex: Mankind Divided sales fall short of Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has debuted at no.1 on the U.K. All Format Chart, although sales of the stealth-action sequel are notably down on that of its predecessor, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

GfK Chart-Track noted that Human Revolution enjoyed a stronger debut than its successor, “but launched into a market with close to double the current installed base of the equivalent consoles (PS3/360 vs PS4/Xbox One).”

Set two years after the events of Human Revolution in the year 2029, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided sees returning protagonist Adam Jensen, a former private security officer, now working with interpol to bring down a terrorist group of augmented humans.

Building on the third-person, stealth-oriented mechanics of its predecessor, Mankind Divided introduces new abilities into the mix such as the Icarus Dash and Tesla Arch, and now allows players to complete the game without killing a single enemy, including boss battles.
