Speaking during an interview with Impress Watch, Valhalla Studios’ Tomonobu Itagaki has expressed interest in kitting out his upcoming PS3/Xbox 360 title Devil’s Third with an option for 3D support.
"It’s not a game that’s built around it, but I’d like to at least offer it as an option," said the former Team Ninja developer.
"I know we can make it compatible on PS3. Xbox 360 too can also be made compatible if we do it side by side."
Apparently, the Ninja Gaiden creator is something of a techno aficionado, and admitted he’s a big fan of all the latest gadgets, with 3D TVs being his latest interest. Still, he was quick to note the feature has its drawbacks, most notably the need to wear those pesky glasses.
Elsewhere, Itagaki hinted that Devil’s Third could also make the transition to other platforms besides PS3 and 360, though didn’t elaborate any further: "We’re developing it so that it can be brought to as yet unknown hardware as well. Specifically, the various areas of technology are scalable."
Devil’s Third is due for release in 2012.
