Devolver Digital has announced that three of the games in its publishing portfolio will not be releasing in 2024, and instead have been delayed into 2025.
A generally milquetoast announcement, but Devolver being Devolver, the publisher put far more effort into announcing three game delays than any other would, and did it in a very tongue and cheek manner.
Parodying awards shows, Devolver framed the announcement with a fake awards show for delayed games. The 15th Annual Devolver Delayed Awards 2024 is a quick six-minute video where Devolver cheekily announces that Baby Steps, Stick it to the Stickman and Skate Story have all been delayed into 2025.
The delays themselves aren’t exactly surprising, seeing as how we’re running out of days in 2024 to release anything.
Out of the three games delayed here, Baby Steps is the only one currently set to release on PS5 but of course it’s possible the other two could have PlayStation releases coming after their original release on PC.
