Fantasy action-RPG Diablo 3 will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 3, Blizzard has announced.
The game is also coming to PlayStation 4 as previously confirmed during Sony’s New York City event, though a release date remains unconfirmed.
Diablo 3 is now available for pre-order at select retailers for $59.99, with the Infernal Helm XP upgrade available as a bonus for those who put down their cash early.
"Playing Diablo III on a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we’ve made, it’s extremely fun to play on PS3 and Xbox 360,” said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard’s CEO.
"In addition to the fine-tuning we’ve done for the console versions, we’re also including major content and design updates we’ve made to the PC version over the past year."
Diablo 3 was originally released on PC in May of last year where it went on to move 12 million copies by December 31, 2012.
