Blizzard Entertainment has released Diablo 3 update 1.18 for PS4, which in addition to addressing a number of issues with the acclaimed dungeon crawler introduces the much-anticipated seasons game mode.
For those out of the loop, seasons presents gamers with the chance to periodically reset their adventures over with a new character. During this time, you can compete with other players via leaderboards and obtain unique rewards.
Elsewhere, players will also be able to access the armoury, which allows you to save up to five different load outs per character. In addition, bonus acts will no longer show up in adventure mode; instead, gamers will just have to finish five different bounties in any act to get your hands on a large chest.
Diablo 3 Seasons will launch on PS4 on March 31, 2017. Read our Diablo 3 PS4 review.
Diablo 3 was originally released on the PC back in 2012 and became the fastest-selling title for the format, shifting over 3.5 million copies in its first 24 hours on sale. The game was then ported to the PS3 and Xbox 360 a year later, and later received a major expansion in the form of Reaper of Souls. The DLC was bundle alongside the base game for current-generation systems in 2014 as part of Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition.
The game has continued to sell in massive quantities and has moved over 30 million copies globally to date across all platforms.
