Blizzard has revealed that the upcoming Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred will feature a new Warlock class that is described as a “unique take” on the class, which is defined by metal chains, flames, and destructive power than is able to turn the wrath of Hell against itself.
The Warlock will be joined by the Paladin class, with two heroes standing at opposite ends of the battle against Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred. More details on the Warlock class are set to be revealed during a Live Developer Update on March 5, 2026 at 11.00am.
Beyond that, Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred is set to include “new endgame systems” that will offer players greater control over progression and challenge. Meanwhile, War Plans offer customisable activity paths that allow players to tailor their endgame experience, while the rare Echoing Hatred encounters sees you fighting off waves of enemies, pushing players to their limits as a result.
The final showdown with Mephisto takes place in the ancient region of Skovos. New characters, quests, and monsters await players as they explore the ancient Mediterranean-inspired landscapes where humanity first emerged.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred is slated for release on April 28, 2026 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
