Diablo IV’s Season One Battle Pass Doesn’t Net You Enough Premium Currency To Buy The Next Battle Pass

More bad news for Diablo IV fans, as players are beginning to realize that the battle pass for Season One: Season Of The Malignant does not include enough premium currency for players to buy the next battle pass.

By the time you’ve played through the Season Of The Malignant battle pass, you’ll be stocked up on 666 Platinum, which is the premium in-game currency players can use for the premium-level battle pass, or other cosmetic items.

However that won’t be nearly enough to buy season two’s battle pass, which is currently believed to cost 1,000 Platinum.

What’s worse however is that you won’t even be able to purchase any in-game cosmetics in Diablo IV’s storefront, where the cheapest item begins at 800 Platinum.

Essentially, there’s no way for players to spend the initial $10 of real money on the battle pass and then earn enough premium currency through play to purchase a new battle pass when it comes or other special cosmetic items.

Apex Legends and Call Of Duty both employ battle pass systems that allow you to do just that, where playing the battle pass to completion is all you need do to earn enough for the next battle pass, and potentially even get yourself a shiny new weapon skin or other cosmetic.

Player’s are understandably not happy with Blizzard for the battle pass system employed in Diablo, that forces you to spend money no matter how much time you’ve spent playing.

This also comes after players were purchasing the premium battle pass when they didn’t mean to, thanks to poor menu design on Blizzard’s part that it is thankfully changing.

And players still haven’t forgotten (nor forgiven) Blizzard for its abysmal patch that nerfed every class and build across the board, resulting in Blizzard needing to backtrack and host a livestream stating it wouldn’t be releasing a patch like that again.

All the while, Blizzard is enjoying Diablo IV being the developers biggest launch ever, with more than 10 million players jumping into Sanctuary in its first month.
