With the release of the PS5 Pro mere days away, the pixel wizards at Digital Foundry have provided an unboxing video for your viewing pleasure, which aside form showcasing the console in all its glory, also confirms the presence of 16.7 TFLOPs GPU Compute.
This figure hasn’t been known before, but the specs sheet featured in the box confirms it alongside previously known details including the amount of RAM that PS5 Pro features.

The PS5 Pro is Sony’s upgraded mid-cycle console that builds on the already-impressive power of the standard console, and is set to launch on November 7, 2024 priced at $699.99/£699.99. The new system employ’s Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), which utilises AI to upscale the resolution of compatible games to 4K; this is a major component of the PS5 Pro Enhanced label, of which many titles have been confirmed to support.
Beyond PS5 software, the console is also able to enhance the quality of more than 8,500 backwards compatible PS4 games using the Game Boost feature.
