Codemasters has pencilled in off-road racer DiRT 2 for release in September 2009, the publisher today confirmed.
The sequel will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC. Taking players on a World Tour across several real-world locations, with events including the "Creek Trailblazer" in Utah, the “Rawang Rally Run" through a Malaysian rainforest and London’s "Battersea Battle".
DiRT 2 promises a host of off-road vehicles to get to grips with, along with online multiplayer functionality. The game will be the first entry in the long running since the tragic death of Colin McRae in September 2007.
