Bethesda announced during its E3 press conference overnight that Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider is heading to PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One this fall.

The new expansion will be a standalone release available as a digital download or at retail, and will resurrect a fan-favorite character in the shape of Billie Lurk, known here as Meagan Foster. Now a cybernetically-enhanced killing machine, the ex-assassin sets off to rescue her former master, Daud, from a mysterious ship and is given her next target: the supernatural force of chaos, The Outsider.

This latest piece of content for the critically acclaimed stealth-action title serves as a follow-up to both Dishonored 2 and the original game’s episodic DLC, and looks set to feature both Michael Madsen and Rosario Dawson reprising their respective roles as Daud and Billie. Furthermore, The Outsider has been described by Bethesda as "the perfect entry point for those new to the Dishonored series,” and looks set to maintain the series’ trademark dual-character dynamic.

As expected, players will be able to wield an assortment of special powers in this latest Dishonored adventure, with Billie coming equipped with her own unique set of abilities. Furthermore, an Original Game+ option will also be included, adding a bunch of powers from Dishonored 2.

Dishonored 2: The Outsider is scheduled for release on September 15, 2017, priced at $29.99.
