More news from Activision’s earnings call; apparently, you’ll be able to play DJ Hero with any Guitar Hero guitar peripheral (though honestly, we’re not quite sure why you’d want to).
VG247 reports that you’ll be able to plug in a guitar and strum along with the game’s turntable. It’s unclear if guitar will act as a peripheral to "operate" the turntable within the game, or if gameplay will actually differ based on the guitar controller.
Activision believes that about 50 percent of prospective buyers won’t own Guitar Hero, meaning that the other 50 percent of buyers will have a plastic guitar laying around. No wonder they added guitar support.
DJ Hero will launch sometime later this year.
