Marvel’s Avengers does indeed have exotic gear, which is a step above the Legendary gear. As shown by Paul Tassi from Forbes, exotic gear can indeed be obtained the everyone’s four gear slots. We haven’t found any of these pieces of gear ourselves yet.

We don’t know exactly how common the exotic gear is or how rare they are in the game’s missions, but once we have more concrete information we will update this article.
