Majesco has confirmed that classic scrapper Double Dragon will be coming to PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade this summer in the shape of Double Dragon: Neon.
The downloadable title promises to adhere strictly to the series’ roots, offering side-scrolling, retro-fused brawling packed with meaty melee weapons and furious combos. The game is scheduled for a July 2012 release.
Double Dragon: Neon will be developed by Wayforward Technologies, who has previously cut its teeth on the likes of Contra 4, Aliens: Infestation and Might Switch Force.
Double Dragon last saw the light of day over 15 years ago with the Sega Genesis/SNES offering Double Dragon 5: The Shadow Falls.
