DC Douglas, the voice behind Resident Evil’s blonde-haired antagonist Albert Wesker, has expressed interest in reprising his role for the next instalment in Capcom’s venerable survival horror franchise.
Douglas, who has been voicing the enigmatic villain since 2007’s Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, let slip that he’s heard rumbling of Resident Evil 6 being in the works, and fancies a role in the sequel.
Chatting with the folks at Hell Descent, Douglas commented, “Hell yeah! I know RE6 is in the works, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to audition for it… or you guys could bug Capcom into casting me in it!”
News on Resident Evil 6 has been thin on the ground as of late, though former Capcom dev boss Keiji Inafune said last year that details on the follow-up would arrive “shortly.” That was before TGS, mind, and nothing has cropped up since.
Still, Douglas might want to replay Resident Evil 5 and reacquainted himself with the fact a return for Wesker might prove a little difficult. We’ll say no more just in case you haven’t played it for yourself.
