Dragon Age Inquisition multiplayer announced

BioWare has confirmed that Dragon Age Inquisition will introduce a four-player cooperative mode.

In a first for the fantasy-RPG franchise, the game’s multiplayer will see players tackling a variety of objectives outside of the main campaign. As such, the co-op mode won’t have any affect on the single-player story.

"Our goal with Dragon Age multiplayer is not to affect your SP campaign," said BioWare. "We simply want to give our fans the chance to play with their friends for the first time in the Dragon Age universe.

"Our philosophy for MP – and we are adamant about it – is that you can buy anything with gold coins, which is the currency you get from dungeon-crawling. There will be no pay wall.

"There will be no pay walls in Dragon Age multiplayer. Everything is accessible with gold coins. You can use premium currency, but you don’t have to."

Dragon Age Inquisition’s multiplayer will ship with 12 characters, more of which will be added at a later date.

The game is due out in November for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
