Square Enix and Artdink Corporation have announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will launch on October 30, 2025 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake offer a complete overhaul of the original genre-defining RPGs, and represent two key instalments in The Erdrick Trilogy. Those of you who have save data for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will gain bonus in-game items for both games, in the form of the Dragon Quest I: One dog suit and Dragon Quest II: One Cat suit.

Meanwhile, preorder customer will be granted the following goodies:

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake continues the narrative established in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which chronologically is set before the first two games. This latest batch of remakes, which will be packaged together in as inline release, is being overseen by Team Asano, and utilises pixel art characters with 3D backgrounds.
