Sony Computer Entertainment has sent out invites to a select group of PS4 gamers to join the closed beta phase for DRIVECLUB which is currently underway.
Under the rules of any closed beta, players are bound by the terms and conditions of not revealing any information about the game, but a NEOGAF user posted up a screenshot. He must have been contacted soon after and asked to remove the screenshot from the public domain as his DRIVECLUB beta thread post now reads: “EDIT:Ordered to remove” and the shot, apparently showing a new track, has vanished.
We’ve been wondering when the beta phase would begin as we’re getting very close to the early October release date. It appears that some of the people on the DRIVECLUB beta were invited through the PlayStation beta test scheme. Sadly, Sony is not accepting any more people as beta testers at this moment. We’d assume however that an open beta is just around the corner.
Sony recently said that its gorgeous-looking driving game isn’t “just about finishing first” but also about driving with “flair and precision”.
DRIVECLUB is a PS4 exclusive with PS Plus subscribers being able to enjoy a portion of the game before deciding whether to buy it at a discounted price.
