Evolution Studios’ PlayStation 4-exclusive racer, DRIVECLUB, has reportedly shifted one million copies during its first week on sale.
That’s according to Insiderp (via GamePur), which claims over 70 percent of the socially-driven racer’s sales were digital-based via the PlayStation Store. Furthermore, around 70 percent of sales were recorded in Europe.
In addition, the website reports that PS4 hardware outsold Xbox One by a ratio of 5:1 during the week of DRIVECLUB’s launch in Europe. To be more specific, Sony’s latest home console moved 96,000 units during this time, while Xbox One shifted 19,700.
As of October 12, Xbox One-exclusive Forza Horizon 2 has moved 489,000 copies, with DRIVECLUB firmly in the lead with one million units.
Keep in mind this information has yet to be officially confirmed by Sony, so take it with a pinch of salt until we hear otherwise.
