DRIVECLUB update: Sony ‘committed’ to PS Plus Edition

Sony has moved to reassure gamers that it remains “committed” to the long-delayed PlayStation Plus Edition of DRIVECLUB.

The free teaser for Evolution Studios’ PlayStation 4-exclusive racer was meant to launch alongside the full version in early October.

However, as previously reported on PSU, the PS Plus Edition was delayed following a series of server issues that plagued the game during its first few weeks.

Fortunately, Sony’s still on the case. Here’s the latest official word straight from the PlayStation Blog.

“Hi everyone. Before we get into the details on November’s new PS Plus games, we understand many of you are waiting for DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologise that the game is not yet ready to launch. We want you to know that we’re committed to providing DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the team at Evolution Studios is working hard to make it a reality.”
