Driver: San Francisco will be hitting North America on August 30, reports Joystiq.
Developed by Reflections, the wheelman sequel will arrive in Australia and Europe sometime in early September 2011.
Driver: San Francisco is set a couple of months after the events depicted in Driv3r, and takes place within protagonist Tanner’s coma-induced dream following a head-on collision with Jericho. Players will be able utilize the new Shift feature, which allows Tanner to jump from car-to-car through missions.
Unlike recent games though, you won’t be able to vacate your car and walk around, with the developers wanting to go back to the series’ roots ala the original Driver, where on-foot travel wasn’t possible.
