DuckTales Remastered, the superb 2013 remake of the NES platformer from Capcom, has returned to digital storefronts after being pulled last August.
DuckTales Remastered Back For Download
This means you can now download the game for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U if you missed out on it first time around. You should definitely give it a shot too – DuckTales Remastered is a cracking retro-flavoured gem.
Here’s what Capcom had to say in its blog post:
Keeping with the gameplay of the 8-bit classic, you can platform and pogo-jump your way through fantastic locales while enjoying modern touches and gameplay improvements as Scrooge and family search for the five Legendary Treasures. When you’re in between adventures, make sure to take a swan – er, duck – dive into Scrooge’s famous money bin as his wealth grows with each successful escapade!

The original version of DuckTales came out on the NES back in 1989 in the US and 1990 in Japan and the UK, and was followed by a sequel in 1993. The latter is actually extremely rare and a popular choice among retro enthusiasts.
DuckTales and DuckTales 2 were later given a high-definition makeover for PS4 and Xbox One as part of the Disney Afternoon Collection in 2017, alongside fellow 8-bit classics Tailspin, Darkwing Duck, and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers.
If you’re too young to remember DuckTales, then I feel for you. It was probably one of the best kids shows of all time, and a huge part of my childhood and anyone else who grew up in the late 80s/early 90s.
Disney actually rebooted the show a few years ago with David Tennant voicing Scrooge McDuck, and it wasn’t too bad at all. Still, do yourselves a favour and grab the old shows on DVD – they’re mint.
Now Capcom, how about a DuckTales 2 Remastered? You know it makes sense.
