Realmforge Studios’ Dungeons 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 exclusively in April.
Originally released on PC, Dungeons 2 is a strategy/simulation game where you play as the ‘ultimate evil’ and a master of your minions. Building dungeons by gathering resources, players have to recruit workers to their army before sending them out to conquer Overworld.
The PS4 edition of Dungeons 2 will feature the original game, and all the post-release DLC,including ‘A Chance of Dragons,’ ‘A Song of Sand and Fire,’ and ‘A Clash of Pumpkins.’
Gameplay switches between dungeon management underground and real-time strategy battles with the minions in tow.
Reamforge explains more:
“At its core, Dungeons 2 takes the best influences of the dungeon management genre and blends them together for the ultimate dungeon sim experience. Yet on top of that we decided to go beyond the dungeon and incorporate the Overworld, where you command your forces in RTS fashion. Both the RTS and the dungeon sim elements are happening in real time so a perfect Dungeon Lord must be skilled in balancing between expanding their dungeon and controlling their Overworld forces.”
Dungeons 2 launches on PS4 on April 22, 2016 and will include a multiplayer mode and three new skirmish maps.
