Atari has lifted the veil on an all-new downloadable Dungeons & Dragons title for PSN, PC and Xbox LIVE Arcade.
Currently under hammer and chisel at Bedlam Games, Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale centres on a scuffle between the inhabitants of the Forgotten Realms and notorious troublemaker Rezlus and his rabble of evil Zhentarim.
Gamers must take up arms and battle through hordes of foes in an effort to unlock the secrets of the Mines of Tethyamar, before vanquishing the evil within the Tower of the Void and eventually facing off against chief nasty himself, Rezlus.
Aside from offering a bread-and-butter solo experience, Daggerdale also promises an “engaging” multiplayer component and “riveting” narrative to boot. According to the press blurb, combat will be a pick-up-and-play affair featuring heaps of weapons and powers to wield.
Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale is pencilled in for release in spring 2011. In the mean time, have a butcher’s at the announcement trailer below.
