DUST 514 Corporations – Are you ready for war?

With DUST 514 launching this week, new mercenaries across the globe should begin the search for a Corporation.

Corporations are DUST’s version of clans or guilds and are the best way to get the most of out CCP’s massively multiplayer shooter. Teamwork is a core part of the DUST experience and it will be the teams who communicate well who will rise to the top of the Corp leaderboards and be feared throughout the galaxy.

Joining a Corporation can also be a lot of fun and the chance to meet like-minded gamers. Members can chat to each other in the lobby, join up together in six man squads and enjoy working together to achieve objectives and take down the enemy.

You’ll discover that most Corps will welcome players with open arms and will help new players to get accustomed to the game. While some Corporations are casual and play entirely for fun, others are more hardcore and will be hatching long terms plans to eradicate other Corps from the face of the galaxy.

Here are five Corporations that we recommend you check out. There’s a huge DUST community out there and dozens of welcoming Corporations to choose from so it’s well worth searching around until you find a team that suits your gaming mentality. We’d highly recommend joining a Corporation on day one.

This is PSU’s official corporation run by editor and writer Alex Locher. Founded as a avenue for our community to further interact with each other–and because PSU loves DUST 514, the corporation is preparing for a decade of war. Our mission is to help PlayStation gamers find the rabbit hole that is the EVE Universe and to give them a place to explore its depth. Since the early days our mission has been to help break DUST down into a way that was easy to understand for as many people as possible and this will continue to be our mission moving forward. Members with a flare for writing are more than welcome to help in this effort. With launch finally upon us, PSU will be implementing a few fun things for corp members, starting with a Mercenary Pack for the months highest ISK contributor.

How to set-up a Corporation

From the main menu, select CHARACTER – SKILLS – CORPORATIONS.

You’ll need to train in Corporation skills to set up a team by spending SP points which can be gained in combat or by completing objectives in the game.

Training level 1 currently costs 6,220 SP and will allow you to have 10 members in your Corp.

You can move three five levels of initial training, each costing more SP than the last, in order to be able to recruit 50 members.

If you wish to grow your Corp further you’ll then need to spend SP on Megacorp Control, where there are five levels, each offering 50 members and therefore swelling your ranks to 300 members.

If you want to expand your Corp even further, you’ll need to spend SP on Transstellar Empire Control where there are five levels of skill training, each adding an additional 200 members. The maximum level of members in a Corporation on DUST 514 is 1300.

If you’re a member of DUST 514 Corporation and would like to be featured, please get in touch.
